About this painting . . .

Nocturne explores shapes, textures and patterns of light and dark apart from the world of reality. Forms interlock, weaving together; then they push against each other in a style reminiscent of M.C. Esher.

This painting was done in gouache, opaque watercolor paint, transparent watercolor, and watercolor pencils.
